Tonsils, Adenoids & Ear Tubes…Oh my! Common pediatric ENT surgeries.

May 15, 2024 6:00 pm

Infections of the ears, tonsils or adenoids are among the most common health problems experienced by children.

Ear infections occur when a virus or bacteria infects the space behind a child’s eardrum. They are often tied to a cold, the flu or an allergy.

Tonsils and adenoids are part of the body’s immune system. They are the first line of defense against bacteria and viruses that enter the body through the mouth or nose, but they sometimes become infected. Aside from infections, tonsils and adenoids can also become enlarged, causing nasal obstruction and/or breathing, swallowing, and sleep problems.

If your child is struggling with persistent infections of their ears, tonsils and/or adenoids, you won’t want to miss this free seminar.

One of Western New York’s leading otolaryngologists (“Ear, Nose & Throat” or ENT specialists), Dr. Natalka Stachiw from WNY ENT will provide you with helpful insights on these conditions. She’ll review the causes, the steps you can take to help minimize their occurrence and the full range of treatment options available, including surgery if needed. And of course, she’ll also answer your questions along the way.
