About Dr. Cipolla

Dr. Michael Cipolla joined WNY ENT in the Summer of 2013.  He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and sees patients of all age ranges within the ENT specialty, including conditions of the sinuses and nasal cavity, hearing loss, ear infections, vertigo, thyroid and salivary gland conditions, throat problems and voice disorders, neck masses, and pediatrics tonsils/adenoids and ear tubes.

Dr. Cipolla is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Residency Program Director at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, and enjoys the challenge of training Otolaryngology residents and medical students. During his residency, he presented at multiple national Otolaryngology meetings and was the recipient of national and departmental research awards.

Outside of work, Dr. Cipolla spends time with his large immediate family, including his 3 children. They spend their time skiing in the winter and fishing or boating at the family lake house when the season is warm. No matter the weather, you can always find Dr. Cipolla cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres!

In His Own Words

What are your main strengths as a physician?

I listen to my patients, make sure we are addressing their concerns, and clearly communicate my recommendations. I do my best to give each patient the attention and care that they need. I am always pursuing the opportunity to provide the most advanced treatments in our field.

What do you like most about being a physician?

I enjoy the interactions with patients and satisfaction when meeting their treatment goals.

If you weren’t a physician, what do you think you’d be doing now?

Business management or teaching.  I have been very involved in the UB Otolaryngology residency program.  I am currently the Assistant Residency Program Director, and I love getting to play a role in teaching and training the next generation of ENT physicians!
